It's Official: The 7-Day E-Commerce Challenge is Here

Running October 16–24, 2025 - Asambe!

Awe Digital Revolutionary,

Here at S’Phanda Sonke Online, we don’t waste time on long, drawn-out planning.

We move from Learnerships to E-Commerce just like a flash of lightning; we prioritise action over plans.

Our mission is simple: to make sure you access viable, high-quality opportunities every single day, elke dag my chomie!

We understand that the Digital Economy doesn’t wait for long-term planning; it moves like a high-speed bullet train.

Right now, we have 5 newsletters doing exactly that.

Providing real opportunities, elke dag.

And you should subscribe to all of them; they’re FREE.

I'm excited to finally share something I've been working on, and it’s coming at just the right time.

The 7-Day E-Commerce Challenge kicks off this coming Thursday, October 16th, 2025 and runs through next week Friday, October 24th.

We’re skipping the weekend of the 18th & 19th so you can rest and reflect.

But here’s the real question:

Why e-commerce?

Why now?

Why We're Focusing on E-Commerce This October

Let me give you some perspective with numbers.

Last year, during the festive season (November–December), South Africans spent over R18 billion online.

That’s billion, with a B.

Black Friday alone saw more than 4.2 million orders placed across platforms like Takealot, Superbalist, and independent online stores.

And here’s what really matters: 67% of those purchases came from people aged 18–35.

That’s your age group.

Your peers, abontanga!

People just like you are scrolling, comparing prices, adding to cart, and hitting "buy now."

But most people miss this: while millions are spending, only a tiny fraction are on the other side, earning online.

The festive season isn’t just a shopping spree.

It’s a gold rush for anyone who knows how to sell online.

From mid-October through December, South Africans switch into what I call "buying mode."

They hunt for deals, stock up on gifts, treat themselves after a long year, and jump on every sale notification that pops up on their phones.

This year?

E-commerce sales during the festive period are projected to hit R22 billion, a 22% jump from last year.

The big question: how much of that can we, as a S’Phanda Sonke Online community, claim for ourselves?

Imagine this: if everyone in this newsletter took just their fair share of the pie, we could be looking at roughly R1 billion collectively.

That’s about R200k per person.

Ka mina, Ka wena!

The opportunity is massive.

But only if you’re ready.

This Challenge is for YOU.

And It’s Practical, Not Theoretical

Here’s what I know about you: you’re smart.

You’re resourceful.

You’ve probably thought about starting something online before, maybe selling clothes, beauty products, digital services, handmade goods, or even reselling trending items.

But maybe you didn’t know where to start.

Or you tried once and got overwhelmed by all the ā€œtech stuff.ā€

Or you weren’t sure if you could actually make money from it.

That’s exactly why I designed this challenge.

This isn’t some theory-heavy course.

I won’t bore you with business jargon or endless slides.

Instead, it’s 7 days of hands-on, practical action built for the youth across South Africa who want to build real income streams before and during the festive season.

By the end of this challenge, you’ll have:
āœ… Set up your own online store or sales channel
āœ… List at least 5–10 products or services ready to sell
āœ… Learned how to find trending products people are actually buying
āœ… Discovered pricing strategies that work in the South African market
āœ… Created your first marketing content (posts, captions, visuals)
āœ… Understood how to handle payments, deliveries, and customer service
āœ… Position yourself to make your first R500, R1,000, or even R5,000+ during the festive rush

And no, you don’t need thousands of rands to start.

Some of South Africa’s most successful online sellers began with less than R500 and a smartphone.

Why Youth Need to Own This Space

Let’s be honest: e-commerce in South Africa is not youth-dominated when it comes to serious money.

But that’s changing, and you can be part of that.

Platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook Marketplace, and WhatsApp Business are levelling the playing field.

You don’t need a fancy website or a marketing degree.

You just need hustle, creativity, and the right guidance.

Here’s a stat to fire you up: youth-owned online businesses grow twice as fast as those owned by adults in the first two years.

Why?

Because youth are energetic, they spend more time online and are naturally creative.

You already have the skills.

You just need the system.

This challenge will give you that system, step by step, day by day.

This is Beginner-Friendly

You might be thinking: ā€œBut I’ve never sold anything online before.ā€

Perfect.

That’s exactly who this is for.

You don’t need:

A business degree

Thousands of rands in startup capital

A website or fancy tools

Previous sales experience

You do need:

A smartphone

An internet connection

A willingness to learn and take action

A desire to create financial freedom for yourself

If you can scroll Instagram, you can do this.

If you’ve ever bought something online, you already understand the customer journey.

Now, you just flip the script.

The Bigger Picture: What This Could Mean for Your Future

Let’s zoom out for a second.

This challenge is about more than making money during the festive season (though that’s a great start).

It’s about building skills that can generate income for years to come.

E-commerce isn’t going anywhere.

Online shopping in South Africa is expected to grow by 35% through 2028.

That means more customers, more opportunity, and more space for YOU to build something sustainable.

Whether you want to:

Earn extra income while studying or working

Build a full-time business and be your own boss

Develop skills that make you hireable (digital marketing, sales, customer relations)

Create financial independence and stop relying on anyone else

This challenge is your launchpad.

Imagine this: it’s December 2025.

Your phone is buzzing with order notifications.

You’ve made your first R200 000 online.

You’re booking January plans with money you earned.

You’re stepping into 2026 with a proven income stream and the confidence to build something from nothing.

That’s not a fantasy.

That’s what happens when you take action before the rush, not during it.

What Happens Next?

In my next update, I’ll break down exactly how the challenge is structured and what happens each day.

For now, ask yourself:

What would R50 000, R100 000, or R200 000 in extra income mean for you by the end of the year?

Could you pay off debt?

Help your family?

Save for something big?

Invest in yourself?

The festive season is coming.

The spending is happening whether you’re ready or not.

The only question is: will you be on the sidelines watching, or will you be in the game earning?

More details dropping soon.

Get ready.

This is your moment.
